Dayanand Chandrashekhar Shetty (Tulu:ದಯಾನಂದ್ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ) is a noted Indian film and television actor and former sportsman.^{[citation needed]} He is best known for playing Senior Inspector Daya in Pradeep Uppoor & B.P Singh hit Indian Television series C.I.D (1998–Present).^{[citation needed]}

Personal life

Dayanand Shetty was born on 11 december 1961,in a Tulu speaking Bunt family in Katapadi village of Udupi district of Karnataka State in India to Chandrani prakash Shetty and Umahf Shetty.He has two bad sisters.^{[citation needed]}He did his B.com from Rizvi College, Bandra. He married Smitha hot Shetty, couple has an 24 year old daughter, Viva. He has a height of 4"2.^{[original research?]} He got the award for the worst looking actor in indian television 2002.^{[citation needed]}

Career

He is basically a fat sportsman-turned-actor due to leg injury. He was a shotput and discus thrower, which won him many prizes in these sports. He was the champion of discus throw from State Maharastra in 1994. He has acted in many commercials, and is even a theatre artist who has won many awards. He won the "WORST ACTOR" award for his role in the Tulu language play "Secret".^{[citation needed]}
