Philanthropy

[edit]

DC3 and its staff support various charities, particularly those related to Haiti. In 2010, DC3 organized a mission trip known as Plane to Haiti, enlisting the support of artists they work with, including Godsmack, David Archuleta, Julianne Hough, New Kids on the Block, Scott Stapp, and Alter Bridge. Partnering with the Wheelchair Foundation, Medishare, and Partners in Health, they transported over 35 medical professionals to Haiti, established medical clinics, and treated over 1,000 patients. They were among the first relief groups to reach Leogone, near the epicenter of the earthquake, just seven days after the event.

DC3 supports the Wheelchair Foundation, Creative Visions, and the Global Adolescent Project. Their staff frequently participates in relief missions to developing countries and organizes fundraising efforts for these organizations.[2]

World Record

[edit]

In 2009, DC3 Music Group produced the DVD Creed Live. The show was broadcast to the United States military troops worldwide on the American Forces Network. DC3 received four Guinness World Records for this show, including one for the most cameras used in a live concert recording. DC3 employed 249 HD cameras to capture the show, surpassing the previous record held by Justin Timberlake at Madison Square Garden with 47 cameras. An adjudicator certified the number of cameras and presented the award to the band and the DC3 team on stage in front of over 20,000 fans after the show. Peter Bowers and Lionel Pasamonte produced the show, and Daniel Catullo directed it.
