Cynthia Akanga

Cynthia Akanga is a Togolese-French dancer, choreographer, artistic director and director of live shows. She took classes with Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham.[1] In 1998 she collaborated in the musical "Notre-Dame de Paris".[2]

At 31, Akanga became choreographer at Cirque du Soleil. In 2009 she choreographed and co-directed Illusia in Tel Aviv.[3] With Circo Price she choreographed La Pasión sin puñales at the Aste Nagusia festival in Bilbao.[4]

Since 18 April 2014 she has appeared on the second season of the show The Best, broadcast on TF1, presented by Estelle Denis and Christophe Beaugrand.[5] In the show, Akanga was part of the jury in place of Lara Fabian. [6]
