Crime

[edit]

On July 31, 1993, 80-year-old Osman Pračić lost his 30-year-old son, Muharem, who, together with 53 other Bosniak inmates, were taken from Prozor by truck, tied by their hands and necks, and led to their death as human shields by the members of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO). from Maklje to Crni Vrh.[2]

Halfway there, they took off their clothes, tied them to each other with cables around their necks, with their hands behind their backs.[3] Then the killing began, 23 inmates were killed. It was noted on the identification that each of these inmates was killed from behind, each one was shot in the head, and the bullet exited in the forehead.[4] Afterwards, everyone was shot in the chest and in the lower part of the body," he said. The other captured citizens of Prozor managed to free themselves, by sheer luck. Kmetaš pointed out that no one has been held accountable for the crime on Crni Vrh.[5]
