Corey Joseph Collins (born October 10, 2001) is an American professional baseball catcher and outfielder in the New York Mets organization.
Amateur career
[edit]Collins attended North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia. As a junior, Collins hit .483 with 16 home runs, before committing to play college baseball at the University of Georgia.[1][2]
As a senior, Collins hit .354 with 20 home runs, in addition to leading the NCAA in on-base percentage.[3] He was named a second-team All-American at the end of the season.[4]
Professional career
[edit]Collins was selected in the sixth round, with the 173rd overall pick, by the New York Mets in the 2024 Major League Baseball draft.[5][6]
