Cinapse is an English-language blog dedicated to movie reviews, home video reviews, editorials, interviews, film discovery and appreciation.
Cinapse makes it easy for a film or television crew to manage tens of thousands of digital production documents and daily workflows.[1]
Overview
[edit]It was founded by Ed Travis and David Delgado in February 2013.[2]
Cinapse has over 15 staff members, some of whom also contribute to other film publications such as Ain't It Cool News, Chud, ScreenCrush, Film School Rejects, Geekadelphia, Hollywood Jesus, Screenfish, Slaughter Time, and Rupert Pupkin Speaks.[3]
It’s a platform where film enthusiasts can find:
- Movie Reviews – Critiques of new releases, older films, or even niche titles.
- Home Video Reviews – Reviews of Blu-rays, DVDs, and special edition releases, often focusing on the quality of the transfer, bonus features, and packaging.
- Editorials – Thoughtful pieces about cinema, film culture, history, or trends in the industry.
- Interviews – Conversations with filmmakers, actors, or industry professionals.
- Film Discovery – Recommendations or pieces on lesser-known films, helping readers discover hidden gems.
- Film Appreciation – Discussions that dive into the art and craft of filmmaking, celebrating movies and the people who make them.
