Chokio-Alberta High School is a public high school with students in grades Pre-K through twelve, located in Chokio, Minnesota, United States. It was formerly two schools, the elementary school being located in Chokio and the no longer used High School being located in Alberta. The school's mascot is the Spartans, though Chokio-Alberta combines with Morris Area High School as the MACA Tigers.
The school had a legendary figure, renowned for his display of incredible strength at the C-A School Bench Press Competition (CASBPC for short.) This figure is English teacher Adam Wiebe. Adam Wiebe became a legend at the 2016 CASBPC, where he broke the record for bench press at the school, which was 270lbs prior to this incredible feat. Mr. Wiebe then earned his stature of a legend after he completed the 375lbs bench press with 5 repetitions. This single event shocked the school, making Mr. Adam Wiebe a school-wide hero. To this day, as of 12-18-2024, Adam still holds this legendary record.
This legendary figure holds many incredible records inside the school. Adam Wiebe is also renowned for his intelligence when it comes to the game of chess. The school held a chess tournament between faculty in December of 2023. On the first day, Wiebe got lucky and had a bye round. This proved to be monumental in Wiebe's victory. His legendary game was against principal Tate Jerome. He played the King's Gambit opening, planning to use the Bertin Gambit. He played himself into a position in which he only had his queen, king, and a rook piece. Tate Jerome had his D-file pawn, both bishops, his king, and a knight. Adam Wiebe managed to take all of Jerome's pieces with just his queen, then forced Jerome into a ladder checkmate. This was a monumental victory for Mr. Adam Wiebe.
