Cavli Wireless is an American technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, that develops cellular connectivity solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The company designs and manufactures Cellular IoT modules with embedded SIM (eSIM) technology and operates in North America, Europe and India, where it has R&D center and a manufacturing facility.[1]

History

[edit]

Cavli Wireless was founded in 2017 by John Mathew, Tarun George, Ajit Thomas, and Akhil Zeeb. The company developed cellular IoT modules with embedded SIM (eSIM) technology to improve connectivity and subscription management for IoT devices. Cavli Wireless partners with global telecommunications providers to offer IoT solutions.

In 2023, the company raised $10 million in Series A funding, led by Chiratae Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures, to further invest in research and development, engineering, and market expansion in Asia and Europe.[2][3][4][5][6]

Products

[edit]

Cavli Wireless manufactures cellular IoT modules that support LTE, 5G, LPWAN, and NB-IoT connectivity.[7] Its products include the C-Series for industrial applications, the A-Series for automotive applications, and the Cavli Hubble platform for IoT device management.[8]

In 2024, the company introduced the CQS315 LTE Cat 4 Smart Module,[9][10][11][12] the CQS29X Smart Module Series,[13] the CQM220 5G RedCap Module,[14][15][16] and the C16QS LTE Cat 1bis Cellular IoT module for smart meters and telematics.[17][18]

Strategic alliances

[edit]

Cavli Wireless has partnered with Orange Business Services to provide LTE-M connectivity[19][20][21][22][23] and works with Fractus Antennas to integrate Virtual Antenna technology into its P-Series Modules, enhancing global NB-IoT and LTE-M connectivity.[24]

Cavli Wireless is also collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies to develop the C16QS Cat 1bis cellular IoT module, which includes Qualcomm's QCX216 LTE IoT modem, eSIM, and GNSS technology.[18][25]

Awards

[edit]

Cavli Wireless won the Mobile Breakthrough Award in 2021[26] and received the Juniper Research Future Digital Award and the Nasscom Emerge 50 Award in 2024.[27][28][29][30][31][excessive citations]
