question

A friend of mine asked me that question:

My grandfather passed away and left me a watch. � I was told it belonged to my Great Great Grand Father William Simpson(1860-1898) an engineer on the Cotton Belt Railroad. �The story goes that he was killed in a train wreck in 1898 in Brinkley Arkansas. �My uncles have tried to research the train wreck but can't find any reference to it.

Has anybody a clue?

Jett West

My grandfather, Jett West worked for the Cotton Belt railroad and was killed in Jonesboro, Arkasnas in 1933. I have been trying to find out more about him but unable to find a thing. If anybody has any suggestions about research I would certainly appreciate all the help i could get. Jett West lived in Pine Bluff at the time of his death and he was married to Gladys Kirkland and they had two children-- Eloise West and Wendel West.. Jett's uncle was Jimmy Holden a former superintendent of the railroad. it is my understanding Jett West was the only that was killed that worked for the cotton belt railroad..
