Category name
[edit]@Asdasdasdff Hello, apologies but I feel like this category name is a bit inaccurate given that the 1924 party was a vessel for La Follette to run for president in 1924, whereas it seems most members of this category seem tk be officeholders of the 1934-1946 party. - I totally agree, but I was just going with the naming that already existed for all the other Wisconsin Progressive categories. All the 1934-46 progressives are currently categorized under the Progressive (1924) categories. And it felt too daunting to try to split them. Frankly, the 1924 categories should probably just be renamed, since there were no state-level candidates running on that 1924 party's ticket. -- Asdasdasdff (talk) 00:02, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think the whole categorization of Progressive politics in Wisconsin on wikipedia is a mess, a daunting mess, but yeah I wholly agree.
- Though, could the category itself not be renamed and thus apply and show as the rename for any page within the category? Talthiel (talk) 00:26, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- I've never renamed a category before so don't know if it propagates on it's own. But what do we think the categories should be? I'm considering just renaming this category to start with. I'm thinking of just changing "1924" to "1934" but let me know your perspective on naming and divisions. -- Asdasdasdff (talk) 20:13, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- (I haven't done that either, that was just my guess) But if a majority of legislators from the 34-46 party are under the '24 party category, we could just swap out the numbers like you suggested (you might also want to rewrite part of your message). Talthiel (talk) 20:32, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
