Split historically

Maybe this should be split into pre and post-Soviet categories. It's easy to confuse the older and modern communist parties, for example the 1910s Ukrainian Social Democratic Party, and the Communist parties:

Communist Party of Ukraine (1998—)
Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Ukraine (1918, 1918–1922 as part of the Russian party, 1922–1998 as part of the Soviet)
Ukrainian Communist Party (Borotbists) (1918–20)
Ukrainian Communist Party (1920–25, ukapisty)
