Category talk:ParserFunction errors
Proliferation of subtemplates in this list
[edit]I've noticed that this category is filling up with subtemplates which seem to be getting in the way of the category's purpose i.e. to find and fix problems out there in the encyclopedia at large. These errors are only appearing because the subtemplate is not meant to be used alone. They are cluttering up the category making it difficult for people to figure out where the real problems are. - Not only that but there's a lot of user pages as well. If for some reason we end up keeping the non-articles, why not have subcategories for them? JIMp talk·cont 21:05, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've cleared a lot of these by surrounding the (sub)template code with
<includeonly>...</includeonly>
tags. – wbm1058 (talk) 12:19, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Parser function errors
[edit]The main category name should be Category:Pages with parser function errors. We should include all errors, split into functional subcategories:
- Pages with parser function convert errors (feature not yet active)
{{Parser function error}} can be used to create the messages and categories for each MediaWiki page. It will sort each category by articles, user pages and other pages for a prioty of work. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 02:00, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Gadget850, since my user page seems to be in this category, and I'm probably one of the people who can figure out how to fix it if I knew which error I was looking for, what is the status on the breaking this up into subcats? Thanks. —
