[edit]For the purposes of searching quickly through, could this category have a link under the main category Category:Computing? It doesn't really make sense to go down so many subcategories to find this one: Category:Technology -->Category:Computing -->Category:Software -->Category:System software -->Category:Operating systems
- How far down you go depends on how far up you start. Above, a few were left out. Category:Nature ->Category:Science ->Category:Applied sciences ->Category:Information science ->Category:Information technology ->Category:Computing -->Category:Software -->Category:System software -->Category:Operating systems. The argument that a low branch is too far down applies equally to all low branches. While out-of-place categorizations might help some users (but if you can have yours, I want mine and he wants his and she wants ...), a simpler approach for all users is to record frequently accessed pages and categories at the top of their own user page, thus accessible with only two clicks (->userpage (at top of wiki screen) -> frequently accessed page). tooold (talk) 19:54, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
RfC about Linux kernel license
[edit]Does the official Linux kernel source released by Mr. Linus Torvalds infringe the GPLv2 and other permitted licenses? Discussion at Talk:Linux_kernel#RfC_on_the_Linux_kernel_licensing_rules — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabio Maria De Francesco (talk • contribs) 02:50, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
Sorry for that. I misunderstood the meaning of WP:DR#RfCs. Thanks for pointing that out, Fabio Maria De Francesco (talk) 14:30, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
