Changed parent category to "Performing arts" from "Plays"
[edit]FYI, I changed one of the parent categories to Category:Performing arts from Category:Plays. The reason is that currently Category:Musicals includes both musical stage productions AND film-only musicals, including animated musicals. Thus a lot of the articles in Musicals don't fall under Plays.
I noticed that Category:Performing arts seems more appropriate. It already includes Operas, Film and Theatre as subcategories, so Musicals sounded like another natural subcategory.
Of course, even though it seems logical, it's possible someone will have an issue with it. If anybody has an objection to putting Musicals under Performing Arts, please feel free to discuss it and/or change it back as necessary. In case of a dispute it goes to whatever the consensus thinks. Dugwiki 20:08, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Subcategory Theatre
[edit]What are people's opinions on moving this to a sub-category for Theatre? Currently, there isn't a Theatre subcategory for Musical Theatre, and I for one had some confusion as to where to find this when writing an article. I'll go with consensus. ParticularlyEvil 05:58, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
