Titles?

Why are film titles beginning with "The" listed under the letter T? Is this some particular convention for Wikipedia lists? I think titles should be alphabetical regardless of "The," "A," An," etc. Opinions? Ideas? Z Wylld 16:10, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
