Americo-centricity

[edit]

This category seems to me to against the principles of Wikipedia in that it assumes all readers are in the USA. I am in GB and to me a person who goes to live in the United States is an emigrant, not an immigrant. I propose that the Category be altered to Category:English emigrants to the United States'. All immigrants are also emigrants, and vice versa. There is no centrism of any nation in these categories; for example, there is Category:American immigrants to the United Kingdom, but not American emigrants to the United Kingdom. Qzm (talk) 01:18, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
