Contested deletion[edit]

This category should not be speedy deleted as being unpopulated, because... (I think that this category has growth potential. Dhruva is one of the most notable character of Raj comics. Almost one-third of Raj comics images on wiki are related to Dhruva. So I believe that those images could be grouped under this category while the rest of the images can stay in Category:Raj Comics images. There are atleast 5-6 images on wiki related to Dhruva and it has a lot of growth potential. In due course, this category will be further populated. Again, please understand that populating a category does not necessarily mean that the category is needed. A lot of the categories that you created are redundant, and can be covered by categories that are already populated. And I'm not contesting for other eleven categories that you have tagged. Out of 12 categories that are currently waiting to be deleted, I'm contesting for just this one. As I said, Dhruva is one of the most notable superhero of Raj comics. So I feel that while most of the other Raj comics related images can be covered under Category:Raj Comics images, Dhruva can afford to have its own image category. Please try to understand my point as well. I might be a new editor but I'm not a vandal. I want to contribute constructively. I realise that I was a little too generous with the creation of categories but I have realised my mistake and I'm not trying to protect the other cats. Besides I don't get your point when you say, if you are adding multiple categories to the same article, it creates category clutter. From what I've learnt, articles are supposed to belong to more than one category. Pretty much every article on wiki has been listed in atleast 2-3 different categories. By 'creating category clutter' if you mean that I added this image to both Category:Dhruva images and it's parent category Category:Raj Comics images, then I'd like to explain myself. I added the image to both the categories because the image belongs to a crossover issue of two heroes Nagraj and Dhruva. So while I added it to Dhruva images, I also kept it in Raj comics images because there is no separate category for Nagraj images. Skagrawal4k (talk) 13:08, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't take anything that I've said personally. I know that you created those categories in good faith, I just meant that multiple categories are redundant, if they are all included as sub-categories of the same subject. Thanks for taking my point of view into consideration. I'm not contesting the other tagged categories. I realise that it went a bit too far. I also realise that Dhruva has not yet aquired as much notability as some of the other heroes like spiderman, batman, superman to have all those sub-categories that these heroes have.
