This file needs to be converted to SVG, but when I go to edit it and add the template for conversion, it tells me the page isn't created. I'm sure someone more familiar with file pages than I will be able to fix this. --Kilrothi (talk) 15:59, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The same thing goes for this file (and this graph, if possible). --Kilrothi (talk) 16:01, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That is because those files are already on commons. So there is no need to copy to commons, since that is already done. If you want them converted to SVG you need to click on the "description page there" link on each page from en.wikipedia to get to commons, from there use Template:Convert to SVG to tag for SVG conversion. -Optigan13 (talk) 16:46, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

uploading new version

[edit]

OK...if it needs to be both converted and moved to commons...do I need to upload a new version here first of just go to commons and upload the version I made in SVG? I attempted to upload the new svg version but keep getting the error message: File extension does not match MIME type. So I am assuming that means an svg file cannot be uploaded as the new image directly into the image page. So if there is an svg file that needs conversion and doesn't need to be uploaded to commons would that mean the image would have to be uploaded separately and then this file tagged for speedy delete or do I have the uploader self delete....or am I completely off on the whole thing. At any rate I know I need some help here, so i have stopped until further instruction can be found. The image I have is for the 400-series-network.gif map[1].-Amadscientist (talk) 11:23, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
