I am in favour of keeping the category "Critics of Freud". I created this category, and feel that there is enough evidence that the people who go in this category were critics of Freud. ACEOREVIVED 20:20, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My removal

[edit]

I removed Category:User categories for discussion from the following list and was promptly reverted.

It seems obvious that in a list of candidates for deletion, a category with candidates for discusion is out of place. Especially since there is a Category:Categories for discussion of which Category:User categories for discussion is a logical subcategory. In short, it has nothing at all to do here. Properly reverted. Rather than deciding something is "obvious" merely based on a name, check the history. "User categories" are/were not a subcategory of "Categories", because the user category process is/was a separate process, just as the "User templates" process is/was separate from the main "Wikipedia templates". We even had a separate deletion review, although now it has been recombined again. Nobody bothered to rename the CfD category itself. There's a new parser function {{#categorytree}} that didn't exist at the time I last touched the see also list (in 2006). I've recoded to show the contents of its parent category automatically.
