Metrophanes of Byzantium

[edit]

Is Metrophanes of Byzantium a Byzantine saint? He was Bishop of Byzantium before 330AD. Laurel Lodged (talk) 21:03, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

He was a Bishop of Byzantium, but would not probably not be called "Byzantine" as an ethnonym as he is still firmly in the pre-Constantinople period. I think it's safe to remove him from the "Byzantine saints" category. --Constantine 21:11, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So someone from Byzantium is not Byzantine? Laurel Lodged (talk) 21:13, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
