[edit]I wonder about the Sears Tower? Born years after Route 66 died - and does this mean any building in Chicago counts, or did someone actually do the map work? Carptrash 14:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- U.S. Route 66 was decommissioned in 1985; the US 66 designation still existed in Chicago until 1976. Sears Tower was built in 1973 between W. Adams Street and W. Jackson Blvd. The map work is here (Google maps now shows historic US 66 as a regular US highway, on West Adams Street in Chicago). Looks valid enough, even if this place is neither a drive-in restaurant, a motel or a filling station it is indeed on US 66. 66.102.83.61 (talk) 22:54, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
