[edit]User:2601:84:4502:61ea:456f:e528:dd7:cf11, the source [1] is from an American perspective and is based on census classification not WP:COMMONNAME. Waddie96 (talk) 13:46, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
What, you want me to list sources for every other country that classifies Arabs as white (the overwhelming majority do)? How do you propose I fit all of that in the edit summary box? Do I also cite anthropological definitions of white/Caucasoid, which likewise includes the Middle East?
As for COMMONNAME, my argument applies. In the United States, Australia, Africa, and South America, Asian = East, Southeast, and South Asians. In the UK, Asian is generally shorthand for South Asian. The only exception to this rule is Canada, but even there Asian in a colloquial sense is generally not applied to Middle Easterners.2601:84:4502:61EA:456F:E528:DD7:CF11 (talk) 14:26, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
