Capitalising the I in 'Indigenous'[edit]

Capitalising of the word Indigenous is inconsistent across Wikipedia pages about Indigenous Australians. 'Indigenous' should always be capitalised, right? AnElectricShangriLa (talk) 02:16, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@AnElectricShangriLa: Hi. Yeah I think so. But you shouldn't change category links like here, because that breaks the category declaration (red links it).
If you are interested in changing page titles, known here as moving pages to fix the caps, I suggest first starting a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australia/Conventions/Indigenous draft to get a feel for how much support there is for it. Or if you want a more visible talk page, maybe Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board would be better. You may find some other editors have some useful information/advice on how to go about the fixes. Also read Wikipedia:Moving a page#How to move a category. --DB1729talk 04:40, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for replying :) I think I'll go to another discussion page and see what people's thoughts are AnElectricShangriLa (talk) 05:16, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@AnElectricShangriLa: I didn't notice it before, but the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australia/Conventions/Indigenous draft is on topic and is very recent. Like less than 24 hours. So maybe that's the place to start after all. All the best! --DB1729talk 05:30, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
