[edit]Does anyone have a definitive list of people recognized by the Anglican communion as saints, or heroes of the faith? Otherwise inclusion here is just a matter of opinion... Moonraker12 (talk) 11:26, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- --for example Church of England sainthood has been misattributed to Edith Cavell, whose "saintliness" many would agree.Qexigator (talk) 14:55, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Edith Cavell is one of the deceased persons whose name is printed in italics in the "Holy Days" section of the Church of England's "Common Worship". The list includes festivals and saint's days. The names in italics are for commemoration, but are not celebrated as feast days or saint's days.[1] A fuller explanation can be seen at Calendar of saints (Church of England). --Qexigator (talk) 17:36, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
The additions I've made are from Holy Women, Holy Men http://www.episcopalchurch.org/documents/BlueBook-SCLM.pdf Spartacus007 (talk) 02:27, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
One should be careful when connecting existing articles to names of persons added by 2009 General Convention (those in Holy Women, Holy Men). For example, the James Chisholm linked here is not the same Holy Man that has an entry here in Wikipedia. 209.156.254.226 (talk) 15:17, 13 September 2010 (UTC)The Rev. Sam Smith
