Early in 1956 I was a crew member on a KC-97 sent to rendezvous and refuel a B-52. The B-52 crashed supposedly from a spark caused by a faulty alternator. There were important Air Force personnel on the B-52 because they were taking their last flight before leaving to open another B-52 base in Limestone, Maine. If anyone has more information, I'd like to hear about it.

Was this listed here and I'm just missing it?

"At 11:20 a.m. on March 31, 1972, a 306th Bombardment Wing B-52D Stratofortress bomber stationed at nearby McCoy Air Force Base (now Orlando International Airport) crashed on this site." RRskaReb talk 05:06, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
