No subcats
[edit]@BrownHairedGirl: this is weird: this category holds 37 articles and no sub-cats. But if you go up to any of its 4 parents, it shows as containing "(1 C, 36 P)". Ever seen anything like this before? – Fayenatic London 09:32, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry for another slow reply, Fayenatic london.
- The problem seems to have fixed itself now, but I have seen this sort of thing before. It is usually fixable by a null edit to the category and/or its parents, tho sometimes a dummy edit is needed, and sometimes even that doesn't work. I read somewhere that the category pagecounter side of the MediaWiki software is kinda flaky, which is why it can sometimes wildly miscount categories which have a lot of additions and removals. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:32, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, BHG. I had tried null edits before writing the above; may try dummy edits if I see it again. – Fayenatic London 21:39, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
