Category:Wikipedia soft redirected categories whose target does not exist

This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a container category. Due to its scope, it should only contain subcategories. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme. This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (Appearance → Show hidden categories) is set. These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience. These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).

This category tracks {{category redirect}}s whose target are red links. The most common fixes that need to be done are:

• Misspelling the category name. For instance {{Category redirect|Writres}} should be changed to {{Category redirect|Writers}}.
• Redirecting to a category page that has not yet been created. Fix it by clicking the red link in the redirect box and create the category page or nominating for speedy deletion per CSD G8. Be sure to check that it isn't just a misspelled or misnamed link.
• Sometimes, due to caching, a redirect will still be in this category even though its target is no longer red. Performing a null edit (by saving the page without making any changes) will usually fix this issue.
