In most cases, treaties that are to apply to American Samoa are concluded and ratified by the federal government of the United States and extended to American Samoa; these are found in Category:Treaties extended to American Samoa. On select occasions, however, the government of American Samoa has been authorized to conclude and ratify treaties for itself.
