It is assumed that the huge majority of Pakistani photographers have carried out some photography in Pakistan, so this category simply subsumes Pakistani photographers as a subcategory; Pakistani photographers are not additionally listed individually below.

As for non-Pakistani photographers, they are listed if they have done a substantial amount of work in Pakistan (at a minimum, one book devoted to Pakistan) or if their work in Pakistan was of unusual historical or other significance. Non-Pakistani photographers who have merely made short visits to Pakistan and had miscellaneous photographs published should not be specified below.
