This category contains immigrants of the Second Aliyah, a wave of Jewish immigration to the Land of Israel between 1904 and 1914, during which approximately 35,000 Jews, primarily from Russia and some from Yemen, settled in Ottoman Palestine. This migration was largely driven by increasing antisemitism in Tsarist Russia and the Pale of Settlement, manifesting in various pogroms, notably the Kishinev pogrom and those associated with the 1905 Russian Revolution.
