Category:Archaeology of Northern Africa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Archaeology in the region of Northern Africa, as defined by the UN (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, and any other islands off the North African coast). As of now, certain countries lack categories to add to this one. Please note this category is intended for Archaeological cultures, industries, complexes (archaeological phenomena which share key traits but are evidently culturally distinct), or other traditions/complexes; it is not intended for individual Archaeological sites, which would accordingly go into the "Archaeological Sites of Central Africa" category.

Put differently, an article describing the Kerma Culture would be classified under this category, whereas an article which specifically describes the site of Kerma would be classified under the Archaeological Sites category.
