Camden Hills Regional High School (CHRHS) is a public high school in the town of Rockport, Maine, United States. It is the sole public high school of the Five Town Community School District, which consists of Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville, Hope, and Appleton.[1]
Students
[edit]Camden Hills Regional High School educates approximately 690 students[2] in grades 9–12 from the Five Town CSD area. Students from other towns can pay tuition to attend the school.
The school normally accepts students from the Five Towns School District, composed of Appleton Village School, Camden-Rockport Middle School, Hope Elementary School, and Lincolnville Central School.
These feeder K–8 school districts are part of Maine School Administrative District 28 and School Union 69.
Academics
[edit]Camden Hills Regional High School offers English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Health, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Personal Finance, Computer Science, World language (French, Spanish, and Latin), and technical courses through the Mid-Coast School of Technology.[3] A range of Advanced Placement classes are offered. There is a school-to-career program for juniors and seniors. 22 percent of the teachers at the school are Nationally Board Certified.[4] The school routinely has National Merit Semi-Finalists.[5]
