Calotis dentex commonly known as white burr-daisy,[2] is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is a small shrub with white daisy like flowers and grows in New South Wales and Queensland.
Description
[edit]Calotis dentex is an upright, perennial, hairy, understory shrub to 80 cm (31 in) high. White flowers are often seen between the months of October to April.[3]
Taxonomy
[edit]The type specimen was collected at Sydney by Robert Brown and later published by himself in 1820. The specific epithet "dentex" refers to the toothed edges of the leaves.[4][5]
