Cahokia Jazz is an alternate-history detective novel by Francis Spufford released in Great Britain in 2023 and the United States in 2024.[1][2]

Reception

According to review aggregator Book Marks, the book received a "rave" consensus based on twenty critic reviews: fourteen "rave", two "positive", and four "mixed".[3] In the May/June 2024 issue of the unrelated Bookmarks, the book received four out of five stars.[4]

Other reviews include those from The Guardian,[5] Los Angeles Times,[6] The New York Times,[7] and The Wall Street Journal.[8]

Cahokia Jazz won the Sidewise Award for Alternate History for novels published in 2023.[9]
