Club Deportivo Alpedrete is a Spanish football club based in Alpedrete, a town in the autonomous community of Madrid. Established in 1971, the club has played a key role in promoting football at the grassroots level in the region.[1]

CD Alpedrete was established in 1971 in the town of Alpedrete, located in the autonomous community of Madrid, Spain. The club was founded by local football enthusiasts aiming to provide young athletes with the opportunity to play organized football while fostering community spirit.[2]

During its formative years, CD Alpedrete played in local amateur leagues under the jurisdiction of the Madrid Football Federation (Federación de Fútbol de Madrid). Despite limited resources, the club quickly became an important part of the town's sports culture. Matches were played on dirt pitches before the construction of modern facilities.[2]

Development and growth

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, CD Alpedrete focused on expanding its football academy, creating youth teams in various age categories. The club earned a reputation for nurturing young talent, with several players advancing to more competitive clubs within the Madrid region. The team experienced fluctuating fortunes in the lower divisions of Spanish football. While promotions to higher divisions were occasional, the club maintained stability thanks to strong community support and dedicated volunteers.[1][2]

Recent years

During the 21st century, CD Alpedrete has continued to compete in regional categories, such as the Primera Regional de Madrid and other divisions of the Madrid Football Federation. Without having achieved the professional category so far, it is still a very highly considered club in the grassroots levels. The construction of the Campo Municipal de Fútbol de Alpedrete increased thecapacity of the club manifold by providing excellent training facilities and a larger fan base. The club has not lost sight ofits objective and policy for youth development.[1]
