Bridge is the name given to the ward[2] and suburb of Newark-on-Trent in the Newark & Sherwood district in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is one of the seven wards on Newark Town Council.
Geography
[edit]The ward covers the north and northeastern areas of the town and is notable for being the site of both the Brownhills Roundabout[3] on the A46 road and the Newark Flat Crossing between the East Coast Main Line and Nottingham-Lincoln Line.[4]
Amenities
[edit]Bridge is mostly residential and industrial. It does have some retail centres including Newark Town Centre, a McDonald's on Lincoln Road[5] and Newark Northgate Retail Park also off Northgate, Trent Lane and Lincoln Road Bridge.[6]
