Brežany (Rusyn: Брежаны; Hungarian: Sárosbuják) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1329.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 390 metres and covers an area of 3.3 km2 (1.3 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[5] It has a population of about 199 people (2020-12-31).[6]
