Bertram Ng is a Hong Kong-based author[1]and hair restoration surgeon.[2][3]

Career

Ng's career in hair restoration began with traditional hair transplantation methods.[4]

He is the chairman of the Asian Hair Transplantation and Restorative Surgery Association.[5]

Traditionally, prophylactic antibiotics were used to treat postoperative folliculitis, a common complication in hair transplantation. This syndrome was redefined as a foreign body reaction by Ng's research.[6]

Ng introduced the Sequential Method, also known as the Double Guns Technique.[7]

In 2007, he joined the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).[8][9]

In 2008, Ng invented the Laser Hairline Placement Device.[10][11]

In 2009, he founded the Bertram Hair Transplant Center.[12]

Ng made a significant contribution by adapting follicular unit excision (FUE).[13]
