The BYD e1 is a battery-electric powered micro car of the Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD Auto.
History

The car was introduced in March 2019 as the successor to the BYD F0. One month later, it went on sale in China. The e1 was initially available as a Zhixing Edition limited to 999 units. Externally, the vehicle resembles the Toyota Aygo.[1][2]
Technical data
[edit]The e1 has a 45 kW (61 hp) permanent magnet synchronous motor. A lithium NMC battery (lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide) with an energy content of 32.2 kWh enables a range according to NEDC of 305 km. The front wheels are individually suspended on MacPherson struts and wishbones, at the rear a twist beam axle is installed.[2]
