Assassin's Creed: Memories is a mobile game developed by Ubisoft along with PlayNext and Greethat, it was released on iOS devices on August 20, 2014,[1] and it combines card collection and battling, target chasing, and strategy elements, along with the option of competitive multiplayer.[2] Additional multiplayer options include allowing players to join a guild and engage in 20 vs. 20 guild combat scenarios. Assassin's Creed: Memories features different historical eras, including the Third Crusade, the Golden Age of Piracy, feudal Japan and the Mongolian Empire.[3]

Development

Assassin's Creed: Memories was announced by Ubisoft on 17 July 2014 as a collaboration between Ubisoft, GREE, and PlayNext.[4] It was quietly soft-launched in the Oceania region beforehand on 7 July as version 1.0,[5] and officially released on 21 August as version 1.1.[6] The game received no further updates until 15 February 2015.[5] PlayNext issued a statement in which Assassin's Creed: Memories would be shutting down. Microtransactions were disabled on 16 February, and the final campaign and tournament occurred on 23 February. The app itself was removed from all digital storefront on 13 March.[7]
