The Armenian National Legion (Armenian: Հայկական լեգեոն) is a military formation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created from Armenian volunteers. The unit was formed in June 2023.
Symbolism
[edit]The official ensign of the Legion is the ensign of the Kingdom of Any, which is an informal symbol of the military community in Ukraine.[citation needed]
Specialization
[edit]The specialization of Thia Legion includes aerial reconnaissance tasks, the use of Attack Drones and Kamikaze Drones and Ground Operations.[1]
Creation
[edit]After the meeting of the Prime Minister of Armenia with representatives of the Armenian Union of Ukraine in Moldova, a proposal was made to create an Armenian legion. The creation event was attended by the first Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia, Oleksandr Bozhko, as well as politician Dmytro Korchynskyi.[2]
