Antorborti (Bengali: অন্তর্বর্তী, lit. 'In Between') is an upcoming Bangladeshi Bengali-language mystery-drama-romance genre film written and directed by S M Kayum, in his feature directorial debut. The story of the film is of greed, lust, hunger, social status and ego.[1][2]
The film features Ahmed Rubel along with Neelanjona Neela,Fariha Shams Sheuti, Abu Hurayra Tanvir, Amirul Haque Chowdhury, and Rahamat Ali while Noresh Bhuiyan made an extended cameo appearance.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
Plot
[edit]The story of this movie is a love story set on a university campus, with social isolation and an artist's long journey to become an artist. There are stories of greed, lust, hunger, social status and ego.[2]

Production

[edit]Work on the script for the Antorborti film began in 2019. Although the first draft was completed on March 2, 2019, it was 2021 after 41 drafts until shooting The script was finalized on 5 November, Said director S M Kayum.[2] He also added, work on the film officially began with music director Pintu Ghosh signing the contract for music direction. The entire filming was done in three stages. In February 22, the first shooting took place in Dhalikandi village of Keraniganj.
Casting
[edit]Abu Huraira Tanveer is playing the role of Dhruv and Nilanjana Neela is playing the role of Arpa.[10] Ahmed Rubel is playing Sajal. On December 26,
2021, Ahmed Rubel was first approached about the interim and he agreed to play the role of Sajal.[11] Masum Aziz was signed to play Abdur Rauf, Dhruv's father. But due to his cancer-related illness, the contracted work was not carried out. Later, Naresh Bhuiya played the role of Abdur Rauf.[12]
Filming
[edit]In the first phase, the first shooting took place on February 1, 2022 in Dhalikandi village of Keraniganj. Abu Huraira Tanvir, Nilanjana Neela, Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Naresh Bhuiya and many others were present on the first day. In the second phase, the shooting took place on 9 November 2022 at Jahangirnagar University.[13] The third phase concluded filming in February 2023 with some songs and scenes being shot at the campus of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology in Uttara.[14]
Post production
[edit]Antorborti is being edited by Sameer Ahmed. He won the National Film Award for Best Editor in 2021 for Laal Moroger Jhuti.[15][16]
Sound designed and mixed by Sayba Talukder, Who was the sound designer of Rehana Maryam Noor (2009) that was officially selected in the Un Certain Regard section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival.[17]

The music of the film was composed by Pintu Ghosh to lyrics written by S M Kayum, tune by Rahul Kumar Datta.[18] [19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29]Pintu Ghosh is directing the music of the film Antorborti. He is a famous music director, singer and lyricist of Bangladesh.[30] [31]He recently won the 'Best Original Score' award at the 8th SAARC Film Festival for the music direction of the film Halda. In 2016,[32][33] he won the Bachsus Award in the category of 'Best Music Director' for the film Oggatonama.
Fahmida Nabi, the National Film Award-winning singer, is singing the song "Thak Na Doorer Hue" from the film. Fahmida Nabi is a famous musician of Bangladesh. She is the daughter of famous Bangladeshi musician Mahmudun nabi and elder sister of popular musician Samina Chowdhury. He won the National Film Award in 2007 for Best Playback Singer.
She also received the Channel i Performance Award (2008) and the Merrill-Prothom-alo Award (2008). His most popular song is 'Lukochuri Golpo'.

Original score
[edit]Composer Musfiq Litu scored the film, his first time collaboration with S M Kayum. He is a Music Composer/Sound Designer/Mixing & Mastering Engineer in Bangladesh since 1997. Mushfiq Litu is known for background score of the films Adam (2023) and Maya - The Lost Mother (2019).[34]During production, Musfiq Litu promised S M Kayum that he would not work on any other project except for Antorborti. He stated in an interview, "Antorborti has been the most difficult film I have worked on and the biggest job I have undertaken."
Marketing
[edit]The first news regarding Antorborti was come to public on 13 February 2022 in The Daily Jugantor newspaper with a character look photo of Neelanjona Neela and Abu Hurayra Tanvir. In that news, Neelanjona Neela said about acting in the movie, "I always enjoy working with Tanveer. Apart from that, the story of the movie is excellent."[5]
