In the 21st century, anti-Taiwan Jingoism has emerged rapidly in the People's Republic of China and is taking more aggressive military posturing.[1] PRC's current president Xi Jinping's anti-Taiwan rhetoric paradoxically boosts the support of the Democratic Progressive Party, which opposes Chinese reunification within Taiwan.[2]
