Antabamba is one of the seven provinces of the Apurímac Region in Peru. The capital of the province is the city of Antabamba.

The province of Antabamba covers an area of 1,242.33 square kilometres (479.67 sq mi). The Wansu mountain range traverses the province. Some of the highest peaks of the province are listed below:[1]

Ethnic groups

The people in the province are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (77.12%) learnt to speak in childhood, 22.26% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language and 0.28% using Aymara (2007 Peru Census).[2]
