Dr. Annie Msuya Lasway, born Enikunda Amanda Kokiambo Benjamin Msuya at Peramiho Hospital in Songea, Tanzania.

She is a health informatician and an advocate for individuals with autism. Dr. Lasway is the founder and CEO of DECODER Health, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through advocacy, research, and comprehensive behavioral health services.

Through DECODER Health, Dr. Lasway bridges the gap in care between the United States and Tanzania, addressing autism as a global issue. Her work focuses on advocacy, community engagement, and reducing stigma around ASD.

DECODER Health collaborates with other behavioral health institutions, by offering therapy programs and community services to enhance care for individuals with autism.

Dr. Lasway has established partnerships with stakeholders, including the Living Together Autistic Foundation (Li TAFO) and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (muhas)

Educational Background  

Dr. Lasway began her education in London, England, while her father, late Major General Benjamin Msuya served as a military attaché. She later attended Bunge Primary School and completed her secondary education at Jangwani Secondary School in Tanzania. Dr. Lasway earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), and a PhD in Health Informatics from George Mason University
