Amie Jo Bishop is an American singer, songwriter, producer and actress.[1][2]

Early life and career

Amie Bishop was born in Escondido, California and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas. During college, she worked as an NCA cheerleader & gymnastics coach. She went into the Air Force as a Medic. After the Air Force, she picked up a Guitar and attended the University of Arkansas At Little Rock and received a BA in Theatrical Arts & Dance.[3]

Bishop started her career in Folk music but currently, she writes Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, and New Age. Bishop is a registered nurse and has worked as an actress in various films.[4] She started her career as a dancer before becoming a cheerleader in addition to singing in the school choir. Bishop later became a professional cheerleader and then joined the Air Force. During her time there she worked part-time as a waiter and learned how to play the guitar, piano, and drums.[5]

Bishop went solo during COVID and released her first album “Evolution” EP, followed by the “Wunderpus” full album. Bishop formed a band named “Wunderpus” in 2023.[6][7]

Bishop has two albums, “Evolution” and “Wunderpus” while the band Wunderpus has an album titled, “Abreaction.” “You Got Me” is on the album “Abreaction” by Wunderpus co-wrote with Justin Warrick from the band, "Bleed the Sky". It was the first song by the band.[8][9]
