Allie Teilz is an American DJ, musician, model, and designer. Raised in Phoenix, Arizona, she is currently based in Los Angeles, California.[1]
Early Life
[edit]Allie Teilz was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to a school teacher and a scientist. She attended Arcadia High School (Arizona) and Xavier College Preparatory (Arizona). Teilz began her career in the music industry at the age of 13.[1]
Personal Life
[edit]From 2013 to 2015, Teilz was in a relationship with actor Joaquin Phoenix.[2][3][4] In 2016, she began dating English actor Alfie Allen, with whom she has a daughter born in October 2018.[5] [6][7][8][3]Teilz met filmmaker Spike Jonze in 2013 on the set of his film "Her". The couple has been together since 2019 and welcomed twin sons in 2023.[9] They announced another expected child in 2024.[10]
Career
[edit]Allie Teilz has been deejaying since the age of 13 and has produced shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo. She has performed alongside artists Thom Yorke, Daft Punk, Grace Jones, and Quincy Jones, and has opened for musicians including Frank Ocean, Stevie Wonder, Beach House, Pharrell Williams, and Nile Rodgers.[11] [10]Teilz has music directed and performed at events, including the Oscars, Golden Globes, Coachella, and contributed to the production of Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne.
In addition to her music career, Teilz has collaborated with brands such as Chanel, Armani, Gucci, Tesla, Sonos, Delta, and Converse. She was appointed music director of Clifton's Republic in 2020.[12][13][10]
In 2024, Teilz announced her debut record.. Her single “Type of Girl,” produced with Nick Sylvester, was released in August 2024 with Secretly Group and Hypnosis Songs.[14] She also created the event series “Visions,” featuring artists Todd Edwards, Joy Anonymous, and Kelly Lee Owens.[10][15]
Fashion
[edit]In addition to her music career, Allie Teilz has made contributions to the fashion industry. She is known for her designs that blend vintage elements with modern aesthetics. Her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, WWD, and Vanity Fair.[16][17] [18]Teilz has modeled for brands including Opening Ceremony, Converse, Levi's, Urban Outfitters, Seven for All Mankind, Armani, Gucci, and Chanel.[11][14][10]
