Alexandre Prot, born November 19, 1982, is a French entrepreneur who has been the co-founder and CEO of Qonto since 2016.[1]

Biography

Alexandre Prot studies at HEC Paris (2006) and INSEAD.[2] He began his career at Goldman Sachs before continuing in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company.[3] His beginnings as an entrepreneur date back to 2013, when he created, with his partner Steve Anavi, Smok.io, the first connected electronic cigarette.[4]

In 2016, he created Qonto to simplify the daily banking and financial lives of SMEs and self-employed people in Europe.[5] Since its creation, the unicorn has raised 622 million, bringing its valuation to 4.4 billion euros.[6]

The company today has 450,000 customers and more than 1,400 employees in 4 markets in Europe (Germany, Spain, France, Italy). It appears in the Next40 index, which brings together the 40 French scale-ups with the most potential.[7]
