Alexander Schweitzer (born 17 September 1973) is a German politician of the SPD. Since 2021, he serves as Rhineland-Palatinate State Minister for Labour.[1] Following the announced resignation of minister-president Malu Dreyer on 19 June 2024 (with effect of 10 July 2024), he has been designated as the 9th minister-president of Rhineland-Palatinate. He is expected to be elected into office by the state parliament on 10 July 2024.[2]
