Alex Condon is an Australian college basketball player for the Florida Gators of the Southeastern Conference.

Early life

Condon was born and grew up in Perth, Australia. He initially attended the Hale School.[1] Condon also played Australian rules football and was considered a top prospect in the 2022 AFL draft.[2]

Condon opted focus solely on basketball and enrolled at the Basketball Australia Centre for Excellence (CoE) at the Australian Institute of Sport, which is partnered with the NBA Global Academy.[3] He signed to play college basketball at Florida.[4]

College career

Condon was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team in his first season with the Florida Gators after averaging 7.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.[5] He entered his sophomore season as the Gators' starting center.[6]

Personal life

Condon's father, Damien, played Australian rules football for East Fremantle Football Club.[7]
